Due to the inherent risks involved with trading, it's important to only trade with capital you are willing to lose. If required, set a weekly or monthly deposit limit and do not exceed it. Know your trading limit and trade within it.
The ultimate purpose of trading is to provide a better life for you and your loved ones. When you surpass your goal, withdraw a portion of your trading balance to fulfill this purpose. Withdrawing funds also secures your profits from the inherent risks of trading. Move the goalposts. Rinse and repeat.
Unprofitable traders are not profitable because they do not take profit — it's that simple. Take profit often and without discrimination. All profit above 0% after fees is a win because it reduces the number of trades to your goal. Leaving unrealized gains above 20% is playing with fire — don't get burned. Calculate your sell target in advance and then set your sell order.
Only celebrate after securing profit by selling. Do not confuse your unrealized gains with a win. You only win when you sell and reduce the number of trades to your goal. Pre-market and after-hours are often deceiving — temper your expectations. Reserve all sense of accomplishment for after you sell.
Reset after each play — win or lose. The emotions that follow a win or loss can negatively impact future trades. Resist the urge to jump back in right away. There's no rush. Take time to reflect on your decision-making and mental state. Only proceed when ready to follow The Commandments.

You made fast money. You lost money fast. High-risk, high-return trading can lead to disastrous consequences for your trading balance. If it has an expiry date or unlimited downside — it's not worth the risk. Keep it simple and buy stocks and cryptos without introducing any unnecessary risks.
Avoid the dangerous mindset of thinking your play will return statistically improbable returns — especially within a specific time frame. These rarely pan out. Instead of one unlikely moonshot or YOLO play, achieve exponential growth through compounding profits on smaller, repeatable plays.

Swing trading is easier when you trade in the direction of the market. Utilize Trading Twenty's Symbol Zones to determine if the price is expected to rise (Buy) or fall (Sell) in the near future. Calculate the correlation between your play and the market, index, and industry leaders.
Nobody can predict the market with 100% accuracy. Scaling in and out of trades is a method of risk management that allows you to reduce potential losses and maximize potential profits by spreading out your trades over time. For example, scale in/out of your positions with the 50/25/25 method.
Stop losses are meant to minimize losses and protect your balance. You will not be in winners 100% of the time. Remain objective when you are in a losing play. Avoid getting emotionally attached — this can lead to long wait periods and missed opportunities. Don't be afraid to sever a loser.
Patience is a virtue — especially in trading. Unless your stop loss is triggered or the variables that led you to create your play have changed, remain patient and continue to scale into the play. Avoid the temptation of jumping from play to play. Doing so can erode your balance.
Guard yourself against FOMO. Social media posts of life-changing gains are everywhere — real or not — you can't be in every play. Avoid getting into every play and spreading out your balance too quickly. Block out the noise and focus on your play — you'll achieve superior decision-making over time.
Nowadays, there's an endless supply of opportunities. Not in the play of the day? That's OK - there's always another play. Sell at a loss? There will be another play. Do not break The Commandments and act on FOMO in order to get into another play. There is always another play.
Shoulda Woulda Coulda (SWC) causes a range of negative emotions that can lead to breaking The Commandments. "I SWC held longer...for more!" Hindsight is 20/20. Nobody can repeatedly time the perfect trade. If the trade was profitable — you won. Don't look back, only forward.
Sharing your holdings with people who do not follow The Commandments can lead to breaking The Commandments. Be aware of outside influences and opinions. If you feel the urge to screenshot your gains and share them with others, it's likely time to sell.

Most trading platforms consider a stock or crypto trending when they have higher-than-usual message activity, trading volume, and/or price movement. Symbols can trend for many reasons, such as a company's earnings report, news about the company or industry, or even social media buzz. We focus on trending symbols because they typically move in a definitive direction — up or down — aka high volatility. Many traders can get stuck waiting months or even years for a catalyst to move their pet symbol in a meaningful direction. The goal is to minimize the number of days to reach a target price.
It's important to note that trending symbols can experience considerable volatility within a short period — a double-edged sword. Most fall shortly after trending when the hype dies down as they are ideal candidates for shorting, creating multi-year bag holders eager to get in at the top when the symbol is overbought. Traders will typically break one or many Commandments chasing a play — don't be one of these traders — review daily.

You are solely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising out of any use of your account by you or anyone else using your account. Trading Twenty reserves the right to change the amount of, or basis for determining, any fees or charges for services it provides, and to institute new fees, charges, or terms effective upon prior notice to customers. We reserve the right to terminate any account at any time for any reason.
Trading Twenty agrees that it will terminate your account upon notice from you. Termination will occur at the end of the then-current monthly billing period. You will still be obligated to pay any other charges incurred prior to termination, if any. If you cancel a service post trial after your card is charged no refund for unused time on such service will be made. If you have a balance due on any account, you agree that we can charge these unpaid fees to your credit card.
Your subscription will be automatically renewed until cancelled. The renewal charge shall be equal to the original signup price, unless otherwise notified in advance by Trading Twenty by email to you or as posted on the Site.
Your right to use the Site is subject to any expenditure limits established by Trading Twenty or by your credit card issuer. If payment cannot be charged to your credit card or your charge is returned for any reason, including chargeback, we reserve the right to either suspend or terminate your access and account, thereby terminating this Agreement and all obligations of Trading Twenty hereunder.
If you have reason to believe that your account is no longer secure (for example, in the event of a loss, theft or unauthorized disclosure or use of your ID, password, or any credit, debit, or charge card number stored), notify us of the problem to avoid possible liability for any unauthorized charges to your account
It is your responsibility to notify us if your credit card has changed or has expired and to make appropriate changes or your service may be discontinued or interrupted.
F) Payment processing services for transactions on the Site are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to these terms you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time.
